Free RPG now available

I’m pleased to announce that 44: A Game of Automatic Fear is now available for free.

To access the free RPG, I’m asking you to register at this website. Note that when you register, you will end up back at the www.storiesyouplay.com home page, rather than the 44 page. Once you’re logged in, you can return here and access the game.

The game is available for download as well. The download page also requires registration, though the PDF link does not.

Thanks for registering. Enjoy the game!

Thank you, Matt! I had, in fact, been recently pining for an electronic version to have on my netbook. Glad to hear you blew the dust off this project!

Thanks. I’ll let you know how it goes when we play it.

This game looks great! Just one thing that I can’t seem to find: how many players is this game suited for? I’m quite keen to try it, but I need to know how many friends I need to assemble.

    Thank you again,

    Elias

  5. Matt says:

Elias, the game works well for 3-5 players. More may be possible, but it isn’t tested.

Thank you! I’m looking forward to trying it out.

Reading through this now – excellent stufff! Can’t wait to replace as many of my friends as I can when we get a chance to play this soon!

  8. Matt says:

Thanks! I hope you enjoy your new robot friends.

  9. Hello,

I had the opportunity to read the 44 and I must say, I was very excited about the idea, mainly because I always wanted to run like Blade Runner and I believe that the game can be fine tuned for it.
Anyway, I am the founder of a small RPG publisher in Brazil and want to know if you can authorize us to translate it for the Brazilian Portuguese. The translation, editing and publishing by us and this version will be distributed free on our website.
If you are interested, please contact me by email guilhermemoraes@retropunk.net.

Thanks and congrats. And I already found myself want to read Dust Devils.

    Wonderful!

However: you say the PDF link does not require registration. How does one access it without logging in? I can’t figure it out. Help!

  11. Matt says:

It’s a bit confusing, Paul. To access the download page, where the link is featured, you have to register. Once you do, you can get to the download page and click the PDF link.

It’s another way of saying you have to register to get access to the PDF.
